Quinceanera traditions Today’s ceremonies embrace religious traditions, and the virtues of family and social responsibility. The custom is a celebration of the young girl (la Quinceanera), and a recognition of her journey from childhood to maturity. The celebration highlights God, family, friends, music, food and dance. In the Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central and South American traditions, the custom can be referred to as Quince Anos, a Quinces, a Quinceanera, a Quinceanero or Fiesta Rosa. The celebration traditionally begins with a religious ceremony. A reception is held in the home or banquet hall. The festivities include music and food, as well as a choreographed waltz or dance performed by the Quinceanera and her court. The Quinceanera traditionally wears a ball gown. Her court, usually comprised of young girls (Dramas) usually dress in gowns. First Communion Traditions Holy Communion is a very special time in growing up. Finding the right dress will make the memory and pictures of this special occasion last a lifetime. First holy communion is the blessed sacrament of accepting the Eucharist and a festive occasion for Roman Catholics. The white gowns symbolize the purity and sanctity of this event. Girls wear beautiful dresses and even veils or gloves. Okay girls those on top are the brief descriptions on different type of dresses. But the most important thing is to have a budget of roughly how much u would want to spend for the whole prom. Which means time to save up! Next up, Tips to save some cash. Money Savers 1.Get a piggy bank and start dropping coins or notes into it everyday or fortnightly. 2.Stop spending money on things which are not really useful to you now. 3.Try to keep yourself away from temptations on shopping. 4.Get together with some friends and start planning on what you will like to do just before the prom itself. [as planning makes people save up too] 5.Start bring lunch or snacks to school and avoid eating out. [this would help on weight lose too] Money Makers 1. Tell your family friends and neighbors that you’re up for work (babysitting, lawnmowing, carwashing, dogwalking, etc.). 2. Have a second good sale to sell things (clothes, CDs, etc.) you haven’t touched in years. You can also unload some oldies but goodies on eBay.com. 3. Offer up your services to Mom. There's always an attic or garage that needs to be cleaned out. 4. Be a tutor to younger kids. Pass out flyers touting your skills as a math or computer whiz. 5 .Ask older folks in your area if they need help running errands or cleaning their houses. Are you a good chef?
